Shazam!!!

Well, this is a couple of weeks late. This was for the last Drawergeeks, Captain Marvel. I had started this in plenty of time, but then things got crazy around here. I hope to be able to do one for this weeks assignment, too. (Crossing my fingers!)

Caveman and Friend

Another one for Drawergeeks. I had a lot of fun with this one, but again I got in trouble with having a way too heavy file. I ended up taking a lot of stuff out, especially on the girl. I really need to learn how to do more complex stuff on Illustrator without it getting so heavy.

Poor Snow White

This is for the latest Drawergeeks. I had fun doing this one on Illustrator, but I ended up with a pretty heavy file. I ended up having to simplify a bit to be able to post it.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is Coming!

This is for the latest Drawergeeks. I haven't had much free time lately, so I'm surprised I go this done! I did this in Illustrator.

Scary Beast?

This is my illustration for this week's Drawergeeks. I did this one pretty quickly, for me. I still feel like there's so much more for me to learn about painting, though.

The White Rabbit

Well, here's another Alice in Wonderland illustration I've been working on, off and on, for a little while. I've included a couple of my studies to show a bit of my process. It's only recently that I've done studies, I used to just jump in and see what happened. I actually like how nice and loose the studies are, but I haven't been able to get that in my final pieces yet.

Grim Reaper 2

This was my second entry for the last Drawergeeks. I'm still getting used to doing crosshatch work.

The Grim Reaper

This is the next assignment for Drawergeeks. This was so much better in my head, but I guess it turned out okay.

Sssssssnape!

Here's another Harry Potter entry for Drawergeeks. I used to do lots of crosshatch drawings, but its been a while.

Oh Harry!

Hey! I was able to do my Drawergeeks early again ! I wasn't sure how to approach this weeks subject, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Maybe I'll be able do another one before the deadline!

Alice and the Caterpillar

Well, here's a try at an illustration with a more detailed background than I usually do. I'm not sure how I think it turned out.

Georgie and the Stag

I took this shot a few years ago near the Art Museum in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is a great city for outdoor sculptures. They're all over the place. (I think that's G. Washington on the horse.)

Viking

I haven't gotten around to doing the last few Drawergeeks, but this one is done a week early! Hooray!

Leonardo's Horse

I was going through some old files and found this fun picture I took at a sculpture garden in Michigan a few years ago. The sculpture was a design by Leonardo Da Vinci that he never figured out how to build at the scale he wanted. It was finally made a few years ago with the help of modern technology.

Portland Powerlines

I seem to have this fascination with powerlines. I take pictures of them wherever I travel.

Portland, Oregon

Here's are a couple of photos that I took on a recent trip to Portland. I love Portland!

Children's Books

I decided to try some illustrations that were specifically for children's books. I'm not very happy with these, but I thought I'd post them and see what people thought.

Bedrock, Arizona

Did you know that the Flintstones lived just down the road from the Grand Canyon?

In Old Arizona

Here's something we saw driving down the freeway in Arizona...
